From paper ledger to running PG in one afternoon

Message the bot on WhatsApp
Just send «start» or any message. The bot asks eight short questions — PG name, type, area, bed count, building type, building year (you can skip it), whether you serve meals, and your UPI ID.

Import tenants from your notebook
Send `import ledger`. The bot replies with a secure link. Photograph your pages, AI extracts records, you confirm.

Invite a manager and start working

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need WhatsApp Business?
- No — regular WhatsApp works, and so does the WhatsApp Business app. Neither gives you a verified badge by itself. PG Saathi works the same with both.
- Where is my data stored?
- On our own server in Mumbai, India. Two things leave that server: WhatsApp messages travel through Meta, which runs WhatsApp, and message text and ledger photos are read by AI services in India (Sarvam AI, and Google Vertex AI in Mumbai). The Privacy Policy lists every provider.
- What if Meta blocks my WhatsApp number?
- Your data is always accessible via the PWA dashboard. We'll help you reconnect a new number — the database is yours, not tied to any phone number.
- How do I migrate from Excel/paper?
- Use the 'Import Ledger' feature — take a photo of your register and our AI reads it. Or use 'add Ramesh A1 8000' to add tenants one by one — takes 30 seconds per tenant.
- Is it free?
- There's no subscription. You pay ₹1 per paid WhatsApp message to a tenant, utility or marketing; everything else is free. New owners get ₹200 of starter credit automatically. A typical PG spends about ₹1–2 per tenant per month (₹1 per reminder or receipt).
- Can PG Saathi verify my tenants?
- Not yet — automated tenant verification is not available yet. Police verification is your own filing; PG Saathi prints the tenant verification form and the police register for free.
